Hilander Hall Of Fame Advisory - BLAST OFF E-MAIL πŸš€

Hilander HOF Advisors,

Thank you again for accepting our invitation to help build the Hilander Hall Of Fame (HHoF) - a digital institution created to empower the Hilander community in recognizing over 100 years of history. On behalf of all the Trustees, we are deeply grateful for your involvement in this exciting experiment.

The HHoF is a community-powered initiative, and we believe your expertise and passion will be invaluable as we work to honor the enduring legacy of the Hilanders. As an advisor, your voice and ideas will help shape this platform in meaningful ways.

Let's now take some action.

‍
Instead of a small group choosing the inductees, this will be a digital democracy powered by Hilander supporters like us. Anyone can donate to Nominate and Vote on the inductees.
‍
I invite you to join me in advising this initiative. You can accept your invitation here:

This is a unique way for the whole community to get involved in honoring our Hilander legends. All monies are donated to help the kids of Kelso via the Kelso Public Schools Foundation.

Our motto: "Legends aren't born. They're made in Kelso."

‍

6/ Here's an early look at our next full-page ad in The Daily News (link). We'll ensure your name is highlighted on it. You can view our first ad here (link).

‍

7/ If the Hilander Hall of Fame is successful in its first years, I may develop additional technology to enable coaches and program leaders to create their own team-based, community-powered Hall of Fames.

‍

This could expand the pool of nominations for the larger Hilander Hall of Fame, while also helping individual teams and programs:

‍

  1. Raise funding through increased engagement with alumni, families, and the broader Hilander community
  2. Foster stronger community connections by celebrating team legacies and honoring distinguished individuals
  3. Contribute nominations to the recognition of Hilander greats at the institutional level

‍

By leveraging the Hilander Hall of Fame platform, we can empower local leaders to celebrate their own traditions and heroes in a way that benefits the entire Hilander ecosystem.

‍

Let me know if you have any questions about how this team-based concept could take shape as we build towards a successful Hilander Hall of Fame launch.

‍

9. Here's a look at our design for Inductee plaques. You can see all the design concepts here.

‍

NOTE: Ty has not been elected or inducted, just a personal Hilander hero of mine

‍

‍

10. FINAL NOTE: I published an Op-Ed/Reader's View about "why" I believe in the Hilander Hall Of Fame and what it means for me to be a Hilander. You can read it here (no paywall).

‍

Thanks again for joining us. I know my Uncle Kirby would greatly appreciate it.

‍

Legends aren't born, they're made in Kelso.
